Physical Education
PE is an extremely important part of life at Hillbrook.
Our aim is to develop the physical skills of all the children, to build on their fitness, to encourage a positive attitude towards sports and to increase an awareness of the importance of developing a healthy lifestyle.
The children are taught a broad range of skills starting with multi-skills, gym, dance and movement in the foundation stage and key stage one. This leads to a busy timetable of sports, after school clubs, intra and inter school activities in key stage two.
Hillbrook has some of the best facilities for sports in Wandsworth and hosts many inter school competitions. We host key stage one multi-skills competitions for local schools and football, cricket, basketball and volley ball tournaments for key stage two children in schools across the borough.
All pupils in key stage 2 battle it out for the Mat Ball championship, our very own game, each year competing for the glory, as well as medals and certificates.
Children go swimming at the local secondary school when they are in years 3, 4 and 5.
Extra Curricular Activities
Children in both key stages are invited and encouraged to participate in organised activities after school. During the year clubs include basketball, football, gymnastics, cricket, athletics, volleyball, table tennis and dance. All clubs are open to both boys and girls.
